Coastal Flood Warning issued September 7 at 3:15PM EDT until September 8 at 6:00AM EDT by NWS Baltimore MD/Washington DC

EVENT: Coastal Flood Warning
The National Weather Service in Baltimore MD/Washington has
issued a Coastal Flood Warning, which is in effect from 8 PM this
evening to 6 AM EDT Sunday. The Coastal Flood Watch is no longer
in effect.

* LOCATIONS...Shoreline in Anne Arundel County.

* TIDAL DEPARTURE...One and a half to two feet above normal.

* TIMING...Minor flooding is expected through late this afternoon.
Moderate flooding is expected around the time of high tide
overnight. High tide is at 2:01 AM overnight into early Sunday

* IMPACTS...The boardwalk at Annapolis City Dock is expected to
be underwater, with numerous buildings flooded. Water also will
affect several locations near City Dock, including portions of
Compromise Street and several streets on the Naval Academy
campus. Shoreline inundation up to two feet above ground is
likely in other low lying areas.
A Coastal Flood Warning means that flooding is occurring or
imminent. Coastal residents in the warned area should be alert
for rising water, and take appropriate action to protect life and

A Coastal Flood Advisory indicates that onshore winds and tides
will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the shore.
