EVENT: Coastal Flood Watch
ALERT:
The National Weather Service in Baltimore MD/Washington has issued a Coastal Flood Watch, which is in effect from Monday evening through late Monday night. The Coastal Flood Advisory has been cancelled. * LOCATIONS...Shoreline in Anne Arundel County. * TIDAL DEPARTURE...Potentially around two and a half feet above normal. * TIMING...Around the time of high tide. High tide at Annapolis is at 9:56 PM Monday evening. * IMPACTS...Water may come up through storm drains, approaching businesses on Dock Street in Annapolis. Water may approach the Maritime Museum and begin to cover Bowyer Road at the Naval Academy. Shoreline inundation up to one foot above ground is likely in other low lying areas.
INSTRUCTIONS:
A Coastal Flood Watch means that conditions favorable for flooding are expected to develop. Coastal residents should be alert for later statements or warnings, and take action to protect property.
